Director, Accounting (Pune, India)
Director, Accounting, India will be responsible for leading the India and international accounting and financial operations function and continually improving the procedures, processes, and systems to enable Qualys to meet operational, reporting, and audit requirements as the Company grows. You will also be responsible for enhancing effectiveness and efficiency of the accounting function, ensuring optimal utilization of all resources to increase return while minimizing risk to the Company. An ideal candidate will have a proven track-record of driving finance transformation via successful achievement of OKRs, including but not limited to developing, streamlining, and optimizing process and systems, leveraging technology to solve complex problems. To be successful in this role, you will need strong managerial, analytical and system skills, a partnership orientation for working with business colleagues and the ability to effectively manage and drive key finance initiatives and projects to completion to achieve superior results in both the short and long term.

Key responsibilities include:
- Responsible for accounting and controls for Indian and international entities, including all accounting, tax and compliance matters
- Work with local tax authorities and auditors to support statutory compliance and ensure implementation of SOX controls in India and international entities
- Support statutory audit and annual audit of consolidated financial statements in coordination with HQ
- Maintain accounting books that are compliant with both US-GAAP and local accounting standards
- Execute monthly close in concert with HQ
- Responsible for local implementation and management of business operations systems (e.g. NetSuite, Concur, Coupa, etc.)
- Support global finance operations. Function may include but not limited to support of, general ledger and payroll
- Hire, develop and nurture high-performance accounting function
- Perform other ad hoc responsibilities as necessary

- Significant expertise in setting up automated processes to increase the effectiveness of the team and minimize room for error
- Excellent multi-tasker who is always “on it” with stellar time and project management skills; understands the importance of planning in advance to meet deadlines that include multiple review points and iterations
- Strong communicator, both written & verbal; reliable and responsive to email and phone communications; and
- Highest level of integrity and good judgment, with the ability to effectively deal with highly sensitive, confidential information
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related discipline
- CA and/or CPA certification required; Big 4 CPA firm (or regional equivalent) experience required
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience required in accounting; demonstrated track-record of ensuring data integrity, measuring, tracking, and trending performance data to improve effectiveness and efficiency of finance function
- US public multinational company experience required, with deep exposure to US GAAP, SOX, SEC reporting, and technical requirements of Sarbanes-Oxley
- Experience partnering with FP&A to deliver insightful information
- Experience with SaaS or Software company preferred
- Demonstrated proficiency in accounting and reporting systems
- Demonstrated success in building and leading teams
- Highly proficient with MS Office applications, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint
- Hands on experience with NetSuite, Workday, Coupa, Concur, ADP and Equity Edge a plus
