Primary Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with all government contracts, grants, and financial regulations.
  • Lead and mentor accounting staff, overseeing day-to-day operations and ensuring accuracy in all financial records.
  • Oversee the reconciliation and maintenance of financial data, ensuring accuracy in reporting.
  • Prepare and review financial reports to support informed decision-making by leadership.
  • Contribute to the enhancement and development of accounting systems, processes, and software tools.
  • Assist in creating and updating user guides for financial and budgeting systems.
  • Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards (GAAP, GASB, OMB).
  • Provide strategic advice on investment management and cash flow to optimize financial performance.
  • Manage the financial closeout process and prepare for annual audits.
  • Oversee compliance and financial reporting for healthcare-related operations (FQHC).
  • Offer guidance and training on accounting practices to internal teams.
  • Produce and analyze financial reports for various programs and departments.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or a related field with significant accounting coursework.
  • At least five years of experience in financial management, preferably in government or fund accounting.
  • Three years of supervisory experience.
  • CPA or CMA certification is preferred.
Skills & Knowledge:
  • Strong understanding of advanced accounting, reconciliations, and cash management.
  • Expertise in Excel and accounting software.
  • Knowledge of fund accounting, budgeting, and grant management.
Additional Information:
  • Must be able to occasionally work outside regular hours as needed.
  • Valid Oregon driver's license required.
