CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER (CFO)
Creative Financial Staffing has partnered with a highly reputable long-standing construction company outside of Raleigh to identify a CFO to join their team. The CFO will have oversight for the daily operations of the accounting/finance function while partnering with the broader senior management team to drive the strategic financial growth of the company.

  • Role: Reporting to the President, the CFO will be both a hands-on and strategic position, helping grow and develop the finance and accounting organization while supporting and guiding ongoing organizational growth.
  • Exposure: The CFO will be expected to provide business and operational analysis, strategic insight, and tactical financial support to be an effective business partner and trusted advisor to the executives of the company.


The CFO's responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Lead and manage all facets of Accounting, Finance, and Information Technology operations within the organization.
  • Delivering prompt and precise analysis of financial performance, budgets, and trends.
  • Collaborate with the executive team to formulate and execute strategic and operational business plans, initiatives, and systems.
  • Contribute to the establishment and execution of both short-term and long-term business objectives, policies, and operational protocols in tandem with the executive team.
  • Engage with business units to furnish assistance for their initiatives through insightful financial and managerial information analysis, reports, and recommendations.
  • Uphold robust internal controls and ensure adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and relevant federal, state, and local regulatory statutes and regulations for financial and tax reporting. Manage accounting, finance and IT functions.
  • Increase the company's ability to anticipate business issues and drive good decision-making through sound financial management.
  • Further develop guidelines and processes corresponding to the rapid growth of the company.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or similar discipline; Master's degree and/or CPA desired but not required.
  • Proven track record of career advancement within a large company environment ($500M+).
  • Experience acting as the Head of Finance/Accounting within a division of a large organization, or as a CFO within in a medium sized organization.
  • Extensive knowledge of financial and cost accounting; experience in the construction industry or similar is not required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, an accomplished leader who can delegate effectively as well as develop and motivate staff.
  • Able to assess situations quickly, examine alternatives and make decisions while maintaining high levels of accuracy and consistency.
