Position Summary: The Corporate Accounting Manager will take ownership of the accounting for certain balance sheet accounts as well as for the accounting and reporting of certain costs and expenditures of our support center departments. In addition, he/she will play a key role in the monthly close process including financial statement preparation, analysis and reconciliations. The Corporate Accounting manager will need to utilize hands-on accounting experience and an in-depth understanding of accounting principles to perform complex accounting activities and financial analysis.
Location: Downers Grove, IL, Hybrid - Tuesdays in office
Essential Duties:
Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, including managerial financial analysis reporting requirements.
Oversee and manage the monthly close procedures for their area of responsibility.
Drive the preparation and review of monthly account reconciliations.
Support the analysis of the Corporate financial statements on a monthly basis, including concise and accurate variance reporting.
Implement the proper documentation and monitoring of internal controls in accordance with SOX 404.
Train and mentor accounting staff.
Coordinate complex accounting projects and initiatives with other members of the accounting and finance team in addition to working on multi-department projects within the company.
Assist in the preparation of pro-forma financial statements and other due diligence requirements related to acquisitions.
Support the senior management team and department heads with in-depth financial analysis as requested by management.
Assist with the preparation of the annual budget for the Accounting Department, Public Company Department, Depreciation, Amortization and Interest Expense.
Responsible for the preparation and filing of all U.S. Census Bureau reports. These consist of Quarterly Services Surveys, Annual Services Survey, Annual Survey of Capital Expenditures and Annual Report of Organization.
Maintain regular, predictable, and consistent attendance. Must be flexible with time commitments that may be necessary to meet the needs of a public company that has unyielding deadline requirements.
Follow all MCO, Medicare, Medicaid, and HIPAA regulations and requirements.
Abide by all regulations, policies, procedures and standards.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Performance Responsibilities:
Maintain positive internal and external customer service relationships.
Maintain open lines of communication.
Plan and organize work effectively to ensure timely completion.
Meet all productivity requirements.
Demonstrate and promote a team-oriented environment.
Actively participate in continuous quality improvement

Position Requirements & Competencies:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited university
Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant licensure is preferred.
Minimum of five to seven years accounting/finance experience; experience in a public accounting firm preferred.
Strong month-end close experience
Experience preparing and analyzing financial statements, including variance reporting.
Experience working with multiple sites is a plus.
Experience in Healthcare or related services business desired
Conceptual thinker, creative, able to take broad concepts and develop financial/ analytic models to support business decisions.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; including advanced knowledge in Excel with pivot tables, VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, SUMIF, COUNTIF and IFERROR functions.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Demonstrated self-confidence, leadership and teambuilding talents, strong planning and analytical skills.
Highly organized, possessing high standards of accuracy and precision.
Ability to perform well within restrictive deadlines.
