Responsibilities of Assistant Controller
  • Oversee accounting operations including billing, AR, AP, GL, cost accounting, inventory accounting, revenue recognition, and asset management.
  • Development, analysis, and interpretation of finance information in order to appraise operating results in terms of profitability, performance against budget and operating effectiveness of the organization. Process improvements and updates to work instructions.
  • Involved in the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, institutes and maintains other planning and control procedures, including the cost accounting system and analyzes and reports variances.
  • Furnishes internal reports, revises and updates reports to be more useful and efficient, and furnishes external reports as necessary.
  • Perform and be responsible for plant physical inventory (twice a year).
  • This individual and the accounting staff will be expected to work closely with other department groups on problems involving accounting systems and financial planning.

Preferred Experience of Assistant Controller:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum 5-years of accounting/finance experience, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience in cost accounting, financial reporting, and budget management.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial regulations.
  • Proficient in accounting software and ERP systems, preferably Dynamics 365.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

This position is offering a salary of $100,000-$115,000 depending on experience.
