We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant I - Audit to join our dynamic team. The individual will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of our audit processes. This position requires superior audit and accounting knowledge, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. What is a day in the life of an Senior Accountant I - Audit?
Achieve efficiencies for the overall audit process through strategic planning and effective resource management.
Serve as a primary point of contact for auditors, responding promptly and accurately to inquiries while liaising with internal teams to gather necessary information.
Ensure the preparation and accuracy of audit schedules and supporting documentation, coordinating with Entity Controllers as needed.
Apply an auditor-like perspective to recordkeeping processes, proactively resolving issues to streamline the audit process.
Initiate early engagement with auditors, reviewing PBC lists and collaborating with stakeholders to formulate responses aligned with audit expectations.
Effectively manage relationships with auditees and communicate audit findings to senior management in clear and concise reports.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address audit issues and support remediation of internal controls.
Participate in the preparation of technical accounting memos for complex transactions and maintain documentation of accounting policies.
Contribute to the month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
Participate in special projects within the department as assigned.
Be available to backfill critical positions to ensure business continuity.

What will I need to thrive in this role?
Over 5 years of post-qualification experience in a Big 4 environment with exposure to Global Delivery Services (GDS).
Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification with internship experience from a Big 4 firm.
Superior audit and accounting knowledge, with a strong understanding of accounting principles, regulations, and auditing standards.
Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and meet deadlines.
Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
Proficient in conducting financial audits, performing risk assessments, and evaluating internal controls.
Outstanding English competency, both verbal and written.
Prior audit experience in global ecommerce organizations such as Amazon, Walmart, etc., is highly desirable.

You will work with the finance and other operations / business department and be supervised by the Accounting leader.
You will also be mentored by the Controller and meet with them on a regular basis to discuss your performance. This team is data driven and results oriented.
