Amazon is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to help lead and oversee Network Losses (NL) function for Amazon India Operations.
Amazon's Customer fulfillment network is growing fast and this is a great opportunity for a Finance leader to learn about Operations and make a big impact.
This position will be a critical business partner and will own the finance partnering for network losses and Insurance process , financial reporting and planning and controllership initiatives. This includes the responsibility of financial metrics reporting, forecasting and analysis. The successful candidate will be analytical and with good communication skills and should have demonstrated ability to effectively manage the finances of a high-impact business. The candidate should be comfortable driving deadlines among various teams.
Key job responsibilities
- Participate in the annual budgeting and forecasting process and ensure planning deadlines are maintained
- Perform risk and opportunities variance analysis versus plan
- Present ad hoc business analysis and recommendations to senior management
- Develop and maintain key reporting metrics
- Work with both corporate and local accounting teams to ensure consistent global recording and reporting of financials
- Own Insurance claim processing for its closure

Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- 4+ years of Accounts Receivable or Account Payable experience
- 4+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- 4+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
- 4+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience
Preferred Qualifications
- 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
- MBA, or CPA
- Knowledge of Tableau
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
