Responsibilities

We are recruiting for an Assistant Manager in the Global Compliance Management Services (GCMS) team - Statutory Accounting.. Working as an Assistant Manager in this team, your responsibilities will include:
•Finalizing Statutory Accounts under IFRS and US GAAP.
•Finalizing Reporting GAAP to Local Conversion - Recognition andmeasurement (including disclosures)
•Lead a team of consultants and associate consultants for executing projectson behalf of international KPMG teams and clients (‘onshore teams’)
•To undertake smaller and medium sized assignments independently or assistin larger assignments reporting to a Manager or Senior Manager
•Establish strong professional relationships with onshore team membersthrough weekly meetings and calls with onshore stakeholders
•Provide regular updates on work pipeline, discussions with onshore teams tothe entire team
•Review the work performed by the subordinates and coach them
•To provide support/assistance for proposals/business development
•Provide technical and transaction-based accounting advisory support andresearch to international KPMG teams and clients, including implementationassistance with new accounting standards
•Assist with US Securities Exchange Commission (SEC) regulatory filings forspin-offs, carve-outs, initial public offerings (IPO), debt offerings, and otheracquisition filings for both domestic and cross-border transactions
•Provide conversion services to U.S. and foreign registered companies to /from U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) andInternational Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
•Provide transaction oriented accounting and reporting assistance formergers and acquisitions, divestitures, complex capital raising and financingstructures, complex financial instruments, revenue recognition and leases.
•Prepare and present accounting whitepapers

Qualifications

Education / professional
qualifications
CA / CPA / ACCA / Semi Qualified / Post Graduate
Prior Experience: Chartered Accountant (ICAI or ACCA) or CPA with 6yrs with at-least 2-3 IFRS / USGAAP reporting engagements or Ind-AS conversion projects and must have good knowledge of IFRS / USGAAP Must have experience in Finalization of Statutory Accounts under IFRS and US GAAP.
Project and Team management exposure
•Prior experience in project scoping, effort estimate, project work planning,team handling, staffing, providing feedback, etc.
•Led a small team on projects and experience of handling direct reporteesincluding their performance management
•Credible record of operating as an independent contributor and also workingas part of a team during larger projects
•Evidence of managing client / stakeholder relationships, preferably in an off- shore / on-shore environment
Technical skills:
- Finalization of Financial Statements under IFRS and US GAAP
- Prior experience of working on IFRS / USGAAP / Ind-AS either as an auditoror as an accountant / advisor
