Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee cash management, monitor cash balances, and develop accurate cash forecasts.
- Lead, plan, and coordinate all accounting operations.
- Prepare comprehensive internal and external financial statements.
- Evaluate current accounting practices, recommend process improvements, and implement new systems for increased efficiency.
- Track and assess business performance metrics to drive financial success.
- Compile, analyze, and present monthly financial reports.
- Develop and manage monthly and annual budgets/forecasts.
- Oversee accounts receivable and payable operations.
- Manage payroll processes and ensure accurate, timely payroll completion.
- Ensure timely completion of monthly bank reconciliations.
- Document and maintain accounting procedures, covering reconciliations, month-end closing, billing, collections, payments, and payroll.
- Prepare and maintain monthly Work-in-Process (WIP) reports and billings.
- Contribute to the company's strategic planning efforts.
- Provide financial data and insights to support executive decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Experience in the construction industry with a strong understanding of construction-specific accounting principles, regulations, and financial management practices.
- Expertise in financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and financial analysis.
- Proficiency in financial and construction management software (Work-in-Process software and Progress Billing experience preferred).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate financial data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong active listening abilities.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
