This client is a market leader in their space and is looking to expand their company by growing into new industries. Client Details

I'm partnered with the Owner at a national, $100M manufacturing and distribution company located near Aurora, IL. My client is a market leader in their space and they are looking to bring on a Controller to work directly with the Owner

Reporting directly to the Owner and COO, the Controller will be responsible for overseeing the organizations Accounting & Finance functions, while taking on the management of 3 individuals. This individual will also have the opportunity to spearhead the implementation of a new ERP system.

Description

Controller Responsibilities:
  • Manage and oversee the company's accounting operations.
  • Supervise financial activities such as budgeting, forecasting, and compliance to ensure accuracy and efficiency.Oversee the preparation of periodic financial reports, ensuring they comply with generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Support the company's overall growth strategy.
  • Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; implement controls to minimize risk in accounting transactions.
  • Manage inventory and purchase forecasts.
  • Oversee cash flow management.
  • Administer ERP and related IT systems.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and supply necessary information for the annual audit.
  • Manage the bank line of credit, including preparing periodic borrowing base reports.
  • Ensure compliance with bank and other financial partner requirements.
  • File quarterly and annual taxes.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Profile
  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Experience in Accounting and Finance
  • Supervisory/Management experience
  • Experience in the manufacturing or distribution sector a plus
  • Experience with Inventory Accounting
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • ERP implementation experience a plus
