Job Title: Cost Accounting Supervisor
Location: Lancaster, Pennsylvania
Duration: Full-time
Responsibilities:
Primary Responsibilities
The overall integrity of the fabricating value of inventory.
The integrity of the metal closing processes and results.
Leading, executing, and driving unit cost reduction efforts.
Providing an accurate decision support system to facilitate pertinent business decisions.
Evaluate and implement continuous improvements to the financial systems and processes to ensure reliability and consistency with company policies and procedures, and efficient and timely responses.
Maintaining the financial records in accordance with GAAP and Alcoa accounting policy.
Leading the closing process, including, but not limited to liaising with FSS, Reviewing and signing off on account reconciliations and Balance-sheet reviews.
Leading the financial & business process audit, maintaining strong internal controls to ensure accuracy of financial statements
Leading, supervising, and coaching the development and prioritization of activities of direct reports.
Evaluating financial implications of long-term commercial contracts and recommend opportunity to improve and/or protect existing profit levels.
Ensuring that all non-metal entries are prepared in accordance with GAAP and Alcoa accounting policy.
The standard costing system and decision support tools. The incumbent will be an expert user strategic margins, Oracle and Hyperion.
Leading the Annual Burden budget process and periodic review of burden rates
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance from an accredited institution
Minimum 5 years' experience in Accounting or Finance
Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with standard costing systems and budgets
MBA/CPA/CMA
Relevant experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience with Enterprise Business Systems such as Oracle or SAP
Experience in data base query tools such as Microsoft Access, Oracle Discoverer, Hyperion, Essbase, Smartview and related programs
Experience with AS400
