All About You:
The Senior Tax Accountant will assist the Corporate Tax Manager with the monthly, quarterly & annual closing process, complete monthly sales tax filings, coordinate IRA Tax Credit activities and provide support to the Tax Manager. In addition, this person will aid in the preparation of forecasts, annual preparation of a budget, assist in the preparation of quarterly tax projections and the annual tax return preparation. Other activities include providing tax guidance on customer contracts when needed by the business units. The Senior Tax Accountant is part of a small team that is responsible for income tax provision and compliance, including but not limited to a federal consolidated return, various state and local returns, Forms 5472, annual BEAT, R&D and IRA credits, and estimated tax payment calculations, sales and use tax returns, Forms 1099, W-8/1042 compliance, property taxes, and transfer pricing.
Requirements:
Bachelors in Accounting/Finance or Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting. CPA or CMA is preferred.
5+ years' experience in the accounting and finance sector, managing the accounting and finance process. 2+ years in a Corporate Accounting or equivalent position. "Big Four" or national accounting firm audit experience is preferred but not required. Credibility, ethical, full disclosure, and clean financial history
Responsibilities:
Develop, analyze, and report IRA tax credit data for SAI on a regular basis to insure accurate reporting for internal and external purposes
Evaluate tax opportunities and risks in order to establish and maintain adequate tax and financial reporting
Assist in all relevant tax reporting. Prepare, report and submit timely accurate and complete data for all SAI tax filings.
Provide Tax Manager with all relevant data in a timely fashion; communicate tax information to SAI units on a regular basis. Maintain updated tax records.
Coordinate timely information gathering from the sites including sales tax return data, IRA tax data, etc.
