The Assistant Controller will support the Controller in overseeing the financial operations of the company. This role involves assisting with financial reporting, budgeting, compliance, and management of the accounting team. Description
  • Key Responsibilities:

    • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
    • Support the annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
    • Monitor and analyze manufacturing costs and variances.
    • Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls.
    • Assist in the preparation of tax filings and audits.
    • Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
    • Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits.
    • Provide guidance and support to the accounting team.
    • Collaborate with other departments to support financial decision-making.
    • Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.

Profile
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA, CMA, or MBA would be a plus.
  • Proven experience in accounting or finance in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
