Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Job Summary
NW Asthma and Allergy Center (NAAC) is looking for an Accounting Manager to oversee accounting and financial activities, including managing accounting records, preparing financial reports, and handling payroll. This position reports to the Executive Director and ensures compliance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and has excellent communication skills.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Prepare and present periodic financial statements and reports.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and fixed asset reports.
- Oversee payroll and accounts payable processing.
- Process and review returns for excise, payroll, personal property taxes.
- Work with departmental managers to create annual capital and operational budgets.
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends and provide insights to management.
- Ensure compliance with standards for Income-Tax based accounting.
- Assist with accounting and financial audits as required.
- Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues.
- Ensure compliance with payroll laws and regulations.
- Provide financial training and support to department leadership and physicians as needed.
- Maintain positive working relationship with outside accounting firm, bank, and contracted financial institutions.
- Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
- Handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA or CMA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting and payroll management.
- Prior work experience in healthcare preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Paychex).
- Strong knowledge of Income-Tax Based Accounting, payroll laws, and tax regulations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of integrity and attention to detail.
