Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the General Ledger, Accounts Receivables, and Accounts Payables functions.
  • Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions, including invoicing, collections, and vendor payments.
  • Reconcile accounts, investigate discrepancies, and resolve any issues that arise.
  • Prepare financial reports and assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
  • Stay updated with US property accounting regulations and implement necessary changes.
  • Prepare Journal Entries with appropriate supporting documentation, relating to amortization, depreciation, accruals, and a variety of other information.
  • Ensure that entries align with generally accepted accounting principles.

Well-versed with Business Centralsoftware or a similar accounting ERP, Managing Profitability, Strategic Planning, Vision, Quality Management, Promoting Process Improvement, Forecasting, Corporate Finance, Developing Budgets, Financial Skills, Dealing with Complexity and Responsible for overseeing and directing the organization's financial goals, objectives, and budgets.

Qualifications AND Tenure:
  • M.com / CA/ CPA /CMA
  • 2+ years of experience in GL accounting
  • Experience with Microsoft Business Central is a value-add


Skills Required:
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting standards and regulations
  • Problem-solving skills - with strong problem-solving skills, general ledger accountants analyze data and search for inconsistencies, then reconcile inconsistencies and devise solutions to errors
  • Accounting functions - knowledge of technical accounting functions and experience in financial record keeping and bookkeeping
  • Math skills - since the candidate will work with financial documents, hence candidate will need frequent use of math to calculate data and ensure that information is correct.
  • Auditing experience - auditing financial statements and documents requires a strong eye for errors and inconsistencies. General ledger accountants correct mistakes as necessary and are comfortable interpreting the accuracy of financial documents
  • Communication skills - GL accountants need to have great verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with workers of all levels throughout the company
