Description
He / She will be responsible for the provision of expert knowledge to deliver the fixed asset & project accounting activities, the accurate and timely processing of all financial transactions, ensuring the process controls are effectively maintained and monitored. He / She would focus upon the supervision of a team, who process, record, classify, consolidate, and interpret Vodafone financials, and who coordinate and manage Vodafone financial reporting
requirements, including the production of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
Job Responsibilities
. Ensure the timely and accurate completion of month end Fixed Asset accounting (including all aspects of depreciation)
. Ensure balance sheet reconciliations are completed monthly to a high standard.
. Ensure adherence to Group accounting policies and review/update specific policies on timely basis
. Has full people supervisory responsibility for a team of finance professionals, enables performance and ensures team compliance with group accounting policies and frameworks.
. Maintains solid relations with managers and leaders, and acts as a provider of accurate and complete financial information on the performance of the group/market.
. Uses best practice knowledge to interpret new accounting procedures, assessing their impact.
. Sox compliance/ s404 testing
. Effective planning and Delivery of SOX cycle
. Timely tracking of audit engagements/audit observations
. Support Business process & control owners regarding control design and remediation
. Support Business process & control owners in driving the culture of controls
. Coordination and communication across audit functions.
Core competencies, knowledge, and experience:
. The ability to challenge risks within complex business requirements and translate best industry processes and control environment
. The ability to handle unforeseen challenges
. Strong governance mentality
. Ability to engage with senior stakeholders and effective liaison with internal & external auditors
. CA/CMA Qualified/Inter, MBA with 10-14 yrs of experience
