Job Summary:
The General Ledger Accountant will be responsible for managing general ledger functions, ensuring accuracy in financial statements, and supporting the month-end close process. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and the ability to work with a high level of accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.

Reconcile accounts, including bank statements, balance sheet accounts, and intercompany transactions.

Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

Support the month-end and year-end close processes by preparing journal entries and adjustments.

Review and analyze financial data to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards (GAAP or IFRS).

Assist with external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.

Prepare and file relevant tax reports and assist in tax planning.

Collaborate with other departments to gather financial data and provide financial insight.

Support the implementation and maintenance of internal controls and accounting policies.

Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as needed.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

3+ years of experience in general ledger accounting or related roles.

Experience in Agriculture, Construction, or Manufacture industry is preferred.

Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP or IFRS).

Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, Famous, or SAP).

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial reporting tools.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.

Ability to meet tight deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment.

CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
