Client Details

My client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Controller to join a dynamic manufacturing company in Lancaster, PA. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in financial management, accounting principles, and manufacturing operations. This role is essential in supporting the financial health of the organization and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.

Description

  • Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Support the development of annual budgets and forecasts. Monitor actual performance against budgeted figures and report variances.
  • General Ledger Maintenance: Oversee general ledger activities, including account reconciliations and adjustments. Ensure accurate and timely recording of transactions.
  • Audit Support: Coordinate and assist with internal and external audits. Prepare necessary documentation and respond to auditor inquiries.
  • Cost Accounting: Monitor and analyze manufacturing costs, including direct labor, materials, and overhead. Provide insights and recommendations to optimize cost efficiency.
  • Internal Controls: Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, standards, and company policies.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including production, procurement, and sales, to support financial decision-making and process improvements.


Profile

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA designation is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with a focus on manufacturing environments.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting. Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial reporting and analysis.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and address financial issues and inefficiencies.
