Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Controller to join our manufacturing team. The Controller will be responsible for overseeing all financial and accounting activities, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and implementing effective financial controls. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing finance, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to lead a finance team.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
Prepare and present accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Develop and maintain financial controls and procedures to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Manage the budgeting and forecasting processes, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
Conduct variance analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and implement corrective actions as needed.
Coordinate and oversee the annual audit process, liaising with external auditors and ensuring timely completion.
Ensure accurate and timely tax filings and compliance with all relevant tax regulations.
Monitor and manage cash flow, ensuring sufficient liquidity for operational needs.
Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
Collaborate with other departments to support business objectives and drive financial performance.
Stay current on industry trends and best practices in manufacturing finance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CPA or CMA certification preferred.
5+ years of experience in a senior accounting or finance role, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or Famous.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
