Core Duties/Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
  • Performing month end activities, challenging assumptions and judgements and confirming numbers are ready for monthly reporting.
  • Revenue accounting
  • Prepare income accrual schedules and journals.
  • Partnering with FBPs to understand revenue profile of new contracts.
  • Applying IFRS 15 to commercial finance models.
  • Reviewing contracts (reviewing by FR team)
  • Cost accounting
  • Partnering with Group functions
  • Review completeness of accruals and timings
  • P&L analytics
  • Ensure that transactions are recorded in accordance with Workday FDM.
  • Prepare and approve balance reconciliations to support month end balances.
  • Review monthly trial balance to understand variances to prior periods and internal expectations.
  • Ensure that required adjustments are dealt with in a timely manner.
  • Work to improvement processes so that correct data is captured at source.
  • Checking the accuracy and completeness of transactions being reviewed on a continuous basis and highlighting any issues for improvement to process/ supplier transactions.
  • Provide information to RTR team to process accounting journals.
  • Work with finance business partners to understand changes (anticipation of issues - resolved timely)
  • Drive continuous accounting.
  • Manage audit requests.


The successful candidate will demonstrate the following experience skills and behaviours:

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
  • University Qualified and CA/CMA Intermediate or CA/CMA Qualified.
  • Financial accountancy experience including UK & US GAAP within multi-national organisation will be an advantage.
  • Self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills.


EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
  • Overall 5+ years of experience, preferably in general accounting.
  • Prior experience of working in an off shored Finance SSC.
  • Proven experience in a corporate finance or accounting environment.
  • Knowledge of Workday an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards (UK & US GAAP/IFRS),
  • Proficiency in financial analysis, including the ability to interpret financial statements, identify trends, and conduct variance analysis.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other financial software applications.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with large volumes of data accurately.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and provide insights.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., Workday)
