Multi-Site Plant Controller Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Business Partnership: Act as a partner to plant operations, deeply understanding how to run the business and support its growth beyond just financial management.
- Financial Reporting: Present manufacturing operation's financial results, risks, and opportunities to key stakeholders accurately and timely.
- Month-End Close: Manage the month-end close process.
- Balance Sheet Reconciliation: Ensure accurate reconciliation of Plant Balance Sheet accounts.
- Financial Team Multi-Site Management: Maintain and manage the plant financial team-site.
- Cost Forecasting & Analysis: Provide comprehensive cost forecasting, productivity pipeline accuracy, and analysis.
- Performance Metrics: Offer insights on achieving key performance metrics with a focus on cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
- Audit Management: Conduct self-assessment audits and manage all internal and external audits.
- Financial Standards: Build and maintain financial standards, including financial BOMs.
- Process Improvements: Identify and initiate process improvements within the plant.
- Corporate Initiatives: Lead corporate initiatives and support Business Unit Finance in projects such as capital appropriations, new product development, and plant utilization.
- Lean Six Sigma Support: Provide financial support and tools for Lean Six Sigma Teams.
- Team Development: Manage and develop one direct report.
Do You Have What It Takes to be the Next Multi-Site Plant Controller?
- Educational Background: B.S. in Business or Accounting/Finance.
- Manufacturing Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of manufacturing operations and product costing.
- Experience: Minimum of 6 years in Finance or Accounting Management.
- Skills: Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills with a detail-oriented and proactive approach.
- Systems Knowledge: Extensive practical knowledge of SAP or other costing systems and advanced Excel.
- Project Management: Demonstrated project and change management abilities.
- Professional Designations: CPA, CMA, CGA, and/or MBA in Accounting/Finance are considered assets.
