Position Summary:

The Assistant Controller will work closely with the Controller and other members of the finance and accounting team to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial records. This individual will be responsible for assisting with financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls. The Assistant Controller will also play a key role in preparing financial statements, analyzing financial data, and providing support during audits.

Requirements

Responsibilities:

Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements

Work with cross-functional teams to ensure the correct accounting for revenue, cost of sales, and final gross margin

Manage inventory and related cost accounting

Partner with technical accounting to ensure correct operationalization of complex multi-element sales revenues

Conduct variance analysis and provide recommendations for improvement

Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes

Prepare and analyze financial data for management reporting

Assist with the implementation and maintenance of internal controls

Support the Controller with audit preparations and compliance

Manage accounting team members including full-time and contract employees

Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial information

Perform ad hoc financial analysis as needed

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

CPA or CMA certification preferred

5+ years of experience in a finance or accounting role

Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software (Quickbooks, Netsuite, Floqast)

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Salary Range:

The base salary range is $150,000 - $175,000

This position will be eligible for bonuses and stock options.
