The Accounts Executive will be responsible for handling day-to-day accounting tasks, financial reporting, and assisting in financial decision-making processes.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including ledgers, journals, and accounting software entries
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports
- Handle accounts payable and receivable functions, including processing invoices and monitoring overdue accounts
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure the accuracy of financial transactions
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Generate and analyze financial reports for management review
- Assist with tax preparation and compliance activities
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with regulations and internal policies
- Provide support for financial decision-making and strategic planning
- Collaborate with other teams to support financial and operational objectives
- Participate in inventory management and cost control activities
- Prepare and submit financial documents and reports to regulatory authorities
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of financial controls and best practices
- Handle payroll processing and related statutory compliance activities
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders regarding financial matters
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Proven work experience as an Accounts Executive, Accountant, or similar role
- Sound knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping
- Good understanding of financial reporting standards and best practices
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with tax regulations and compliance requirements
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information
- Experience in healthcare or hospital accounting is a plus
- Relevant professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is preferred
- Knowledge of billing and invoicing processes
- Experience in financial analysis and cost control is desirable
