Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Analyst to join our finance team, supporting our multi-family construction business. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial planning, analysis, and reporting, with an understanding of the construction industry. This role will be critical in providing strategic financial insights, driving business performance, and supporting key decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Planning and Forecasting:
    • Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning for the multi-family construction business.
    • Analyze financial results and provide actionable insights and recommendations to division leaders and senior management.
  • Performance Analysis:
    • Conduct detailed financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
    • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to division leaders and stakeholders.
  • Business Partnering:
    • Collaborate with division leaders, project managers, and other cross-functional teams to gather relevant data and insights.
    • Provide financial guidance and support to business leaders, helping them understand financial impacts and make informed decisions.
  • Strategic Initiatives:
    • Support strategic planning initiatives, including new project evaluations, investment appraisals, and profitability analysis for the multi-family construction business.
    • Assist in the evaluation and integration of potential M&A activities related to the division.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within the FP&A function.
    • Implement best practices to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial planning and analysis activities.
  • Compliance and Risk Management:
    • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
    • Monitor and manage financial risks associated with the multi-family construction business.

    Specific Qualifications

    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting; MBA, CPA or CMA preferred.
    • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably within the construction or real estate industry.
    • Strong proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and analysis.
    • Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
    • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
    • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team and matrix environment and manage multiple priorities.
    • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
