Accentuate Staffing is currently seeking an Accounting Manager for our client in Durham, NC 27703. This position ensures that financial reporting and oversite is accurate by working closely with a team of accountants to oversee daily operations of the Accounting Department, including but not limited to the management of: Accounts Payable, Costing, and Fixed Assets and that all Internal Controls are followed. This position is also responsible for managing the work and performance of the Cost Accountant and the Staff Accountant.

- Oversee daily transactions, such as accounts payable, expense reporting, fixed assets, and inventory reporting.
- Participate in financial and other audits.
- Participate in budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Manage month-end and year-end closing including Parent Company reporting requirements.
- Oversee the daily performance of direct report(s) as well as their development.
- Reconcile revenue, organize financial data, and maintain complete records.
- Track the progress of financial and accounting objectives.
- Ensure that Internal Controls and Accounting Policies and Procedures are followed.
- Ensure legal compliance.
- Special Projects as assigned
Requirements:
- BS degree in Accounting/Finance
- 5+ years' experience in a Supervisory role
- Accounting certification (e.g., CMA or CPA) is a plus.
- Supervisory Experience desired
- Experience with an ERP accounting software package and consolidation reporting package.
- Consolidation reporting package.
- Strong computer skills, MS Office (managing spreadsheets, creating charts, and using advanced formulas)
- Solid knowledge of accounting principles (US GAAP and IFRS), laws and regulations
- Excellent analytical skills to manage large amounts of data.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Time management skills.
