Job Summary:
The Accountant will be responsible for managing and analyzing financial records, ensuring the accuracy of financial documentation, and providing timely financial reports to assist in decision-making. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with a strong grasp of accounting principles and experience in financial reporting and analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and maintain financial records, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy in financial statements.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial planning activities.
Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying trends and variances.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations and accounting standards.
Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and support.
Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and guidance.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions.
Participate in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in agriculture or in manufacturing.
Proficiency in accounting software QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, Famous, or etc. and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
