We are currently seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team within the construction industry. This permanent position offers a unique opportunity to play a significant role in our fast-paced organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all accounting operations, including Monthly Reporting, Accounts Receivable (A/R), and Financials. With a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, the Senior Accountant will play a pivotal role in maintaining our financial health and ensuring our projects are financially viable.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
  • Coordinate and direct the preparation of budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
  • Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
  • Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.
  • Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
  • Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  • Additional duties as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field. A Master's degree in Accounting or Business Administration will be considered a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably with Non-For-Profit OR Governmental Compliance experience
  • Proven experience with Monthly Reporting, A/R, and Financials.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
  • Experience with creating financial statements.
  • Excellent accounting software user and administration skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
