As a Financial Reporting professional in our Corporate & Investment Banking, you will spend each day defining, refining and delivering set goals for our firm

The position is in UK Financial Reporting (FINREP) team based in Mumbai. The group is a service-orientated business comprised of individuals with knowledge and expertise in understanding, managing and delivering financial information to Local regulators (BOE and PRA) of UK entities. The group is also dedicated to adding value and improving efficiency, quality and controls.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist team in preparation of the firm's reporting requirement to the PRA for the UK Bank regulated entities.
• Ensure timely and structured reconciliations are performed while displaying strong understanding of the control framework around reconciliations and break resolution/investigation.
• Assist in the identification and completion of manual workarounds, where necessary, to ensure completeness and accuracy of outputs in the operating and processing model.
• Review monthly and quarterly variances, investigate tends and work effectively with the London team to obtain and document business commentary for management. Partner with the local Regulatory Project team on new releases and assist the London tram with review of trade flows for new business initiatives. Preparation and review of regulatory reports/submissions for JP Morgan entities as per US GAAP / UK GAAP requirements on monthly & Quarterly basis
• Support various lines of business& Legal entity controllers with performance reporting and other query resolution especially on regulatory reporting
• Ensure financial Integrity of General Ledger data by performingcontrol checks & follow ups as required in line with the reporting requirement.
• Support for Finance Technology user acceptance testing (UAT) and project execution

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

• Chartered Accountant or MBA with 8+ years' experience with financial services industry. Good academics and strong accounting knowledge.
• Strong accounting knowledge with experience in Book closure and finalizing accounts. Strong control mindset. Analytical skills.
• Ability to multi-task under considerable time pressure, whilst maintaining a high degree of accuracy and quality.
• Good team player and quick learner
• Good Communication and organizational skills including partnering skills and proactiveness.
• Enthusiastic, with a positive can do attitude. Strong PC skills including MS Excel, MS Word, MS Access, and Outlook.
• Investment banking product knowledge including derivatives, equities, and debt securities.
