Job Summary

If you are a Finance professional, Emerson has an exciting role for you! We are looking for a Financial Analyst to work with our Financial Services Group in Pune.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  • Manage the monthly reporting process, ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial information to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure accurate cost updates for factory items based on standard costing methodology, including flat items, star items, buyouts, and B2B items.
  • Analyze and investigate various variances resulting from standard costing, such as purchase price variance, work-in-progress (WIP) variance, and material receipt variances.
  • Manage payables-related issues by identifying and resolving discrepancies between invoices and purchase orders. Collaborate with the Procurement and Payables team to facilitate prompt resolution.
  • Prepare and analyze cost center reports, identifying any discrepancies or gaps. Explain the movement compared to previous months and year-on-year, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Conduct thorough analysis of Goods in Transit (GIT) to ensure inventory accuracy and validity. Collaborate with the payables team to address any discrepancies that may arise. Additionally, identify and rectify imbalances with intercompany sites.
  • Execute various tasks related to Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), such as uploading Actuals, Product Group and Kind of Business, and POR.
  • Provide support during annual external audits, including the preparation of necessary documents and offering explanations for transactions when required. Ensure compliance with audit requirements and maintain transparency.
  • Provide comprehensive support for ad hoc requests pertaining to the financial aspects of the factory, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of information.
  • Drive continuous improvement culture within the group.

For This Role, You Will Need:
  • Finance Professional with minimum 3/4year of work experience in FP&A Domain
  • Hands on experience in ERP, MS Office, and reporting tools
  • Analytical thinking ability and good team player
  • Self-starter, suggesting and implementing improvements to the processes.
  • Balance stakeholder, Situational adaptability, Manages complexities & Manages ambiguity.


Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Qualified CMA
  • Basic understanding of Accounting Principles and US GAAP
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • System Knowledge of Oracle, Hyperion Financial Management
  • Power BI or related presentation tools
