Team Overview
KKR's Global Finance and Tax teams support a majority of KKR's global finance and tax activities including quarterly financial closing activity, processing and support of ongoing commercial transactions, tax compliance activities, corporate tax activities, analysis that supports each of our finance and tax functions and other day to day activities within the finance and tax functions. The finance and tax functions in the Gurugram office represents global structure and supports the global delivery and processes across finance & tax functions and serves as an innovation center for process and platform transformation. Gurugram team plays a key role in evolving KKR's Finance and Tax function and transforming it to be able to meet the ambitious growth objectives of the firm.
Position Summary
The Finance and Tax Co-Lead is a senior leadership position responsible for collaboratively leading and overseeing the entire Global Finance and Tax function in Gurugram. You will partner with Global Stakeholders as well as the Gurugram Finance and Tax Co-lead to ensure all financial processes are optimized, meeting the highest standards. The Finance and Tax Co-lead will also join the Gurugram Leadership team to partner in driving the office roadmap and strategic goals. This is an opportunity based in our Gurugram office, and the individual is required to work from office 5 days in a week.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Be a thought leader and partner along with Gurugram Finance and Tax Co-Lead to establish and implement the strategic roadmap for the Finance and Tax function in Gurugram, with a particular emphasis on aligning it with KKR's Global Finance and Tax goals and capabilities.
- Demonstrate subject matter expertise in accounting principles, corporate functions and fund finance.
- Responsible for daily, monthly, and quarterly deliveries from the functional teams in Gurugram with a specific focus on Corporate Controllership and Corporate Finance functions.
- Drive process and platform transformation in partnership with stakeholders through workflow redesign, technology solutions and innovation.
- Build high performing and highly engaged teams through deep subject matter expertise, transparency, accountability enabling long term career growth and development.
- Deliver on people manager responsibilities on hiring and onboarding, training programs and championing employee development, performance management, problem solving and conflict management and team engagement.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with finance and tax stakeholders and build strong relationships with Business Operations teams including Global Operations, Legal & Compliance, Technology, etc. to foster collaboration and alignment.
- Stay informed and bring insights on key private equity regulations and accounting standards (e.g., US GAAP, IFRS).
- Develop and report on Key Performance Indicators ('KPI's') to assess the productivity and performance of the Gurugram team.
- Bachelor's Degree in related field (Economics, Finance or Accounting) required. Chartered Accountant, CPA or MBA preferred.
- Minimum 15+ years of experience in a senior finance role in a private equity firm or similar investment environment.
- Proven leadership experience in managing and developing high-performing teams, specifically in a fast paced and high performing environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship management skills
- Understanding of private equity processes within business operations
- Ability to prioritize and make decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills and work ethics

- Technical capabilities on SQL, VBA and data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI preferred
