Tasks and responsibilities

• Support and Maintain Activity Based Costing accounting methods and activities for multi entities with SAP and non-SAP
• Standard costing vs actual costing: prepare standard variance analysis, reconciliation and reporting Monthly closing and reporting
• Prepare Inventory valuation and COGS reports for Group and India annual closure
• Maintain cost accounting records for the applicable products
• Co-ordinate with Shared services to get the monthly/annual deliverables
• Prepare audit schedules and liaise with external auditors to close on the audit
• Manage physical verification of inventory on periodic basis
• Optimize inventory levels with continuous collaboration with sales, planning and supply chain teams Product Margin analysis for realized and as well as budget
• Validation of bill of material maintained by supply chain team
• Product costing
• Other Corporate Finance tasks carved out from Accounting, Tax, Capex, Credit management etc
• Drive improvements and efficiency in production and inventory management

Basic qualification:

• Strong Finance and accounting skills and sound knowledge of Finance and Accounting systems and ERP preferably SAP
• Experience in putting sound accounting principles into practice
• Orientation towards continuous improvement using smart tools and techniques and a keen eye for simplification and possibly automation
• Must exude energy and enthusiasm for challenging tasks and ambitious targets
• Eagerness to learn and develop oneself
• Fine balance of Assertiveness and Service mindedness
• Flexibility to accommodate tasks of varying nature and deadlines
• Good interpersonal skills as the role can involve collaboration with various functions
• Flexibility in relation to job location
