Description
- Ensure monthly financial statements are prepared timely in accordance with GAAP.
- Compare actual results with forecasts and budgets. Provide meaningful analysis of variance to actual results.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly business review reports for executive management team and board of directors.
- Lead annual standard cost update process by establishing and ensuring accurate standards are set
- Review actual job costs compared to project budget for all jobs in-process.
- Oversee divisional month end close process including account reconciliations, accruals, journal entries and timely adjustments
- Lead in the completion of annual revenue, expense, and capital budgets, quarterly forecast updates.
- Work with Corporate Controller to manage the receivables collection process.
- Develop individual action plans for collecting delinquent accounts
- Coordinate and oversee cycle counts and periodic physical inventories
Profile
- Accounting background with 5-8 years in corporate accounting, bachelor's degree required,
- CPA and/or MBA preferred or working towards
- Strong Excel skills are a must (Vlookups, Pivot Tables) and accounting systems background
- Must take a "hands-on" approach to work
- Understanding of financial compliance requirements
