The Accounts Manager is a key role responsible for overseeing and managing the financial aspects of an organization. This includes maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. The role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as a thorough understanding of accounting principles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Management:
  • Oversee the organization's financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance against key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial statements and reports.
Bookkeeping and Record Keeping:
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate financial records.
  • Supervise the recording of financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Conduct regular reconciliations of accounts to ensure accuracy.
Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, laws, and regulations.
  • Work with external auditors to facilitate the annual audit process.
  • Stay abreast of changes in accounting regulations and implement necessary adjustments.
Team Leadership:
  • Lead and manage the accounting team, providing guidance, training, and support.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Conduct performance reviews and set development goals for team members.
Financial Reporting:
  • Prepare and present regular financial reports to senior management.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on financial analysis.
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures.
Requirements

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA) are a plus.
  • Proven experience as an Accounts Manager or similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent leadership and communication abilities.
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
