Our client is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their team as their Chicago branch continues to grow! This individual will be reporting to the Controller with tons of visibility to the CFO.

My client is a prominent transportation company operating in the Americas region and looking to add a Senior Accountant to their closely knit accounting team. Leveraging their extensive network both nationally and globally, they efficiently manages the movement of goods across various modes of transportation, including warehousing, intermodel, and air. They are known for their customer-centric approach by consistently delivering reliable, cost-effective, and timely services, catering to diverse industries and ensuring seamless global connectivity.

Description
  • Manage monthly close process
  • Journal Entries and General Ledgers
  • Monthly and quarterly reconciliations
  • ERP system implementation
  • Process improvements
  • Assist the Financial Controller and Senior Management in strategic planning
  • Weekly P&L reporting


Profile
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance/Business
  • CPA certification highly preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in Accounting in a related industry
  • Manufacturing, distribution, or related industry experience preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong Microsoft Excel knowledge (V-Lookup, pivot tables, macros, complex formulas)
  • Knowledge of GAAP
