Job Description Summary:
What you need to know about the role-

As a member of PayPal's Marketing FP&A team, this position will play a key role in providing financial analysis in support of the Marketing organization. This role will be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, month end close, variance analysis, reporting related to marketing program spend, and supporting the business with various Finance related projects. This role will work closely with the Venmo Marketing team as part of ongoing spend management and reconciliation.
The shift time for this role is 4pm IST to 1am IST.

Your way to impact

This role will be the Finance OpExsupport for the Venmo Marketing team to help drive sound financial investments.

Your day to day
  • Partner with the business as well as other Finance team members for forecasting, month end close activities, variance analysis, and budgeting.
  • Work cross-functionally with Marketing, Finance, Accounting, Sourcing, Analytics, and other business partners as necessary, to ensure alignment and expense accuracy.
  • Own the quarterly forecast, monthly reporting, and P&L reconciliation with a high level of accuracy.
  • Build trusted relationships with key business partners, establishing trust, and gaining an understanding of relevant business drivers.
  • Develop, monitor, and drive deeper understanding of our KPIs across the Marketing organization and identify opportunities to improve existing reporting processes and key metrics tracking.
  • Process cost center creation and changes, along with movement of cost center hierarchies.
  • Assist with ad-hoc analysis and presentation requests.
  • Identify trends and anticipate reporting needs of the business.
  • Proactively identify system and process improvements to drive efficiency and effectiveness.


What do you need to bring-
  • The shift time for this role is 4pm IST to 1am IST.
  • 4-6 years of relevant experience in Finance, Accounting, Consulting at a highly matrixed company.
  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Economics, Finance, Accounting, or other related fields.
  • CA qualification good to have and preferred.
  • Strong experience of planning, forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and basic accounting concepts.
  • Hands on experience in MS-Excel.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills combined with the ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workloads.
  • A self-starter with a positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly motivated, curious, detail oriented, and self-aware.
  • Ability to develop and maintain complex financial models.
