This role is based out of Bangalore and will help drive global finance practices as part of the FP&A function.

This role is based out of Bangalore and will help drive global finance practices as part of the FP&A function.
Key Responsibilities:
Revenue Analysis and Reporting:
- Revenue reporting at a consolidated level with various details like vertical, sales, delivery region, and type of revenue (new, existing, GTE, customer, LOBs, etc.)
- Forecast revenue by understanding trends and connecting with stakeholders in sales, operations, revenue, and billings teams
- Analyze revenue and related items to explain variances between plan, actuals, and forecast
- Understand detailed products and offerings of the company and the flow of information from the sales cycle in Salesforce (CRM tool) to actual reporting in NetSuite ERP
- Read customer contracts and relate them back to bookings and revenue
- Provide revenue reports to different business stakeholders and conduct meetings to explain them and gather business insights
- Provide competitor benchmarking analysis and KPIs, like SaaS/business metrics related to revenue, customer, and industry verticals
Sales Commission Calculations:
- Calculate and validate sales commissions based on established plans
- Ensure timely and accurate commission payments to sales teams
- Develop and maintain commission tracking systems and reports
- Provide Sales commission accruals to accounting
- Work closely with sales, accounting, and operations teams.
- Ensure alignment in numbers and strategies across departments
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports related to sales commissions and expenses.
- Present findings and recommendations to senior management.
Sales Expense Management/ Month Close:
- Analyze and monitor Sales expenses to identify trends and variances.
- Review costs related to operations and support functions.
- Assist in the preparation of expense budgets and forecasts.
- Conduct variance analysis between actual and forecasted expenses.
- Implement cost control measures to manage and reduce expenses.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders like Procurement etc., to track and manage expenses as the budget controller.
- Support the monthly close process by understanding accounting entries and accrual estimates.
Financial Reporting Package:
- Support financial planning and budget process, variance analysis, and financial forecast
- Provide details on annual plan, YoY changes, zero-based budgeting
- Drive preparation of month/quarter-end financial package to management
- Perform ad hoc requests for analysis of financial data
Financial Reporting Tool:
- Evaluate financial reporting systems and processes, making recommendations to streamline and improve them
- Ensure data integrity of financial reporting tools with ERP (Oracle Netsuite or similar tools)
- Manage logics of indirect cost allocations based on cost drivers and formulas for segment financial reporting
- Prepare monthly reporting pack under-reporting tool including Dashboard and Key metrics
- Simplify logic and formulas of reporting tools for correct and simplified financial rollups
- Support ERP system or process implementation and upkeep
Data Management and Analysis:
- Maintain and update financial models related to revenue and commissions
- Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide actionable insights
- Support ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting requests
- Support creation and maintenance of process documentation and SOP's for the process
Academic Credentials and Experience
- CA, ICWA, MBA Finance, CA/CWA Inter, M.com, B.com with other related professional qualifications
- Minimum of 6-10 years of experience with significant focus in multi-national, global companies as well as India or US public company experience
Skills
- Excellent communication skills (verbal & written) - Requires to read, comprehend and interpret Sales commission letters and Customer contracts
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, accounting, and business acumen
- Advanced/expert technical skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial/statistical modeling
- Tech-savviness and experience in working or interfacing with ERP and SaaS tools
- Self-starter with the ability to build strong partner relationships as a trusted advisor at multiple levels
- Excellent time management, organizational, and follow-up skills with the ability to multitask
- Attention to detail and strong follow-through
