Staff Accountant

The Staff Accountant reports to the Assistant Corporate Controller and perform monthly journal entries and reconciliations, drive process improvements and work across the accounting function to ensure accurate and timely financial results

Education and Qualifications

• bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 2-7 years of related accounting experience.
• Working knowledge of NetSuite.
• Driven by zero defect capable processes and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
• Certification - CPA, CPA Eligible or working towards.

Responsibilities

• Perform and review journal entries related to normal month/quarter-end close cycles.
• Prepare general ledger reconciliations and GL account analysis; ensuring balances are accurate, sufficiently documented and meet accounting requirements.
• Develop and document business processes and procedures while ensuring strong internal controls.
• Research technical accounting issues and create processes to ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Maintain and create operational and accounting financial standards.
• Perform Percentage of Completion Accounting (POC).
• Maintain accurate records of financial information.
• Support and participate in internal audits and other control processes narratives.
• Participate in external audit, including preparation of required schedules.
• Perform adhoc projects, research and analysis as assigned
