Job Title - Sr. Lead Accounts and Governance

Qualification - CA
Location - Worli, Mumbai
Compensation - As per market
Experience
12-15 years relevant experience out of which minimum 5 years extensive experience in Accounts and 3 years' experience in Control role. Candidate from Real Estate Industry will be preferred. Second priority is from Manufacturing industry. People with less than 15 years of experience should only apply
Other requirements :
The role has 4 broad areas of responsibilities - a)Accounting, b)Governance & Control, c)Risk Management and d)Process improvement & digitisation.
Candidates having experience in all areas will be preferred.
Must have independently handled book closure and finalization of Books of Accounts.
Experience of Internal Control & handling Audit.
Strong excel and power point skills.
Key Result Area/Accountabilities :
1. Monthly, Quarterly and Yearly closure of Books of Accounts
-Oversee and manage all aspects of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
-Manage the month-end and year-end closure processes, including the preparation of financial statements and reports.
-Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including GAAP, IFRS, and local tax laws
2. Profitability Reporting by business verticals
Proper reporting of business profitability for 5 business verticals.
Monitor and analyse financial performance, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
Improve better management of expenses and guide effective utilization.
3. Development of Effective Governance & Risk Control mechanism
Identification of reduction of operation risks of the business.
Create strong Governance and Control mechanisms to bring financial discipline in the company without creating bottlenecks for growth.
4. Improve the productivity of the team through process improvements, streamlining, and digitization
Make processes to streamline transactions.
Lead financial digitization drives like ERP implementation, process mapping etc.
5. Develop team to improve productivity and efficiency of the team
-Lead and mentor the accounting team, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and professional development
-Coach team members for career growth and development
