Description

Chief Accountant will be a key member of the accounting team which involves closely working with business areas, tax teams to ensure appropriate preparation of financials statements of the Company.

The key responsibilities for this profile are as below :
  • Responsible for managing accounting and reporting processes as per IAS, Quarterly Balance Sheet reviews, MIS reporting and Month-end closing.
  • To prepare and file statutory financial statements under applicable local GAAP
  • Maintain statutory compliance in the India region including coordination with tax and legal functions, and external auditors.
  • Provide accounting guidance to team on day-to-day accounting matters.
  • To actively support in Period End and Year End close processes ensuring quality and fulfilment of relevant Group and statutory requirements
  • Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies and procedures, and control environment.
  • Measure process performance with appropriate KPIs and metrics and publish the same regularly to senior management as well as within the team.
  • Continuous and demonstrable improvement of productivity resulting in increased service productivity.
  • Ensure resources, capabilities and capacity to meet both existing and new business demand and support ongoing Group projects.
  • Solution oriented with experience of tackling high profile customer issues and ensures root-cause analysis is conducted and a corrective action plan is followed through with any learning applied for future benefit.
  • Champion working in teams and knowledge sharing and promote the increased use of shared services capability.

Qualifications

Education and Experience
  • Chartered Accountant or equivalent qualification.
  • 6-8 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Accounting standards is essential.
  • Experience of statutory audits during the job/articleship.
  • Strong knowledge of Indian compliance in the areas of financial reporting and taxes.
  • Solid experience from a global Finance organisation in an international company. Good understanding of all key business processes across functional areas.
