Job Summary: Mohr Management India Private Ltd is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our remote team in India. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of US GAAP accounting principles and be capable of handling various accounting tasks such as journal entries, financial statement preparation, budgeting, and audit processes. Being a Chartered Accountant is advantageous but not mandatory.

Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- General Ledger Management:
- Prepare and post journal entries accurately and timely.
- Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts.
- Ensure all financial transactions are recorded in accordance with US GAAP.
- Financial Reporting:
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Support the consolidation process and prepare supporting schedules.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies.
- Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Assist in the development of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
- Analyze variances between actual results and budgets/forecasts.
- Provide insightful analysis and explanations for variances.
- Audit and Compliance:
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and other statutory requirements.
- Maintain accurate and organized audit trails.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable:
- Process invoices, expense reports, and payment requests.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist in managing accounts receivable and collections as needed.
- Month-End and Year-End Close:
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Prepare and review account reconciliations and journal entries.
- Ensure timely and accurate closing of books.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in accounting or a related role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Experience with accounting software, preferably QuickBooks or similar.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP principles.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote work environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Chartered Accountant qualification is a plus.
Certificates and/or Licenses:
- Chartered Accountant (preferred but not required)

Physical Requirements:
- Involves work of a general office nature.
- Typically includes extended periods of sitting and/or operation of a computer for up to 8 hours a day and may involve periods of standing, such as operating at a copier/fax/scanner.

- Ability to speak clearly so others can understand you.
- Ability to read and understand information and ideas presented orally and in writing.
