Seeking an experienced Controller to oversee growing construction industry accounting operations and team. The Controller will streamline the day-to-day accounting processes, payroll, and financial reporting. The Controller will produce thorough financial-status reports for senior management to help improve the Company's operational efficiency and aid in their continued growth.
  • Provide accurate, comprehensive, and timely financial information to senior management
  • Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls and guidelines
  • Improve company-wide accounting policies and procedures
  • Achieve budgeting goals with proper scheduling, analysis, and corrective action
  • Help develop and support short and long-term operational strategies
  • In conjunction with the leadership team, establish financial and operating benchmarks, budgets, program monitoring, and reporting standards on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis
  • Oversee and support accounting team with dynamic leadership that creates an environment of trust, integrity, and productivity
  • Manage and monitor all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements as well as the requirements of internal and external stakeholders
  • Develop and enforce internal controls to maximize protection of company assets, policies, procedures, and workflow
  • Implement consistent accounting policies, practices, and procedures throughout the organization

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
    • Master's Degree in Accounting and/or professional accounting certification, including CPA, CMA, CGA, or CA preferred
  • 8-10 years proven accounting experience, demonstrating increasing responsibility
    • 5 years of experience as a senior-level accounting or finance manager
  • Strong working knowledge of detailed financial data analysis and progress billings
  • Working knowledge of federal, state, and local tax compliance regulations and reporting
