Job Summary:
If you are looking for an opportunityin the field of Finance, Emerson has an exciting role for you! We are looking for a Senior Manager / Associate Director for the India Finance team located at Chennai.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Analyse monthly Profit and Loss account of this business unit and relate variances at the Sub - Business unit level and provide management insight on business health and recommend vital Improvement and corrective action.
- Proactively forecast P&L in the subsequent period of the year based on the trends, above said. Corrective and improvement actions, government policies like change in tax structure, Incentives etc.
- Business partner with business leaders to provide insightful information on cost position to help Strategic business decision.
- Costing review and ensure the rate is allocated accurately and its assumption is appropriate.
- Manage Account receivable, Account payable and Inventory and to make sure the trade working capital requirements are managed.
- Lead and take charge of annual budgeting process with various stakeholders.
- Provide technical expertise and advice on financial issues to functional or operational areas managers to help them develop revenue and expense budgets, understand financial impact to the business in order to manage their financial responsibilities.
- Ensure that all tax returns, tax declarations, and other required reports are submitted accurately and on time.
- Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop financial staff to ensure compliance with relevant regulations, Laws, standards and audits.
- Strong in financial planning and analysis.

For This Role, You Will Need:
- Qualified Chartered Accountant or equivalent experience professional qualification.
- Minimum 15 years of working experience in Finance or accounting with experience in leading a team.
- Good eye for business and strong analytical skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and strong leadership qualities.
- Strong communication skills.
- Excellent MS Office knowledge.
- To work both as an individual contributor as well as be able to lead and develop a team.
- Be comfortable in matrix organization structure reporting across geographies, legal entities.
- To work in a fast-paced team environment to meet deadlines.
- Strong work ethics.
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
- Work experience in Oracle.
- Knowledge of USGAAP and HFM.
- Indirect tax support.
- Experience in area of financial reporting under Indian GAAP in a manufacturing organization.
- Experience of working in Indirect Tax Accounting and familiar with Indirect Tax issues for Manufacturing.
