As a top-tier Tax & Accounting Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial integrity and regulatory compliance of our European operations. Demonstrating your deep expertise in international tax laws and accounting principles, you will lead all aspects of accurate financial reporting, optimize tax strategies, and provide critical insights to support strategic business decisions across our diverse markets.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Review Emerson US GAAP European tax provisions on a quarterly basis for material entities in advance of US GAAP including: quarterly provisions, reviews, and RTP.
- Support the local finance controllers in their quarterly tax provisions, where required.
- Answer US queries (Emerson tax department) relating to point 1.
- Work with Emerson US tax department as part of their control visits - requires coordination with local finance directors. All current and deferred taxes for US GAAP must be reconciled to local country GAAP accounts and to tax returns
- European Cost Pool - review of calculations, annual analysis and ensuring the agreement to up to date in terms of leavers and joiners and ensure accurate transfer pricing compliance.
- Support the European Transfer pricing process through coordinating and assisting with acquiring the required financials/company data, reviewing final TP reports and working with the Finance directors to meet the local TP documentation requirements.
- Review management accounts of local entities in advance of year end (July review of June quarter end) so that credit note mechanisms can be 'fine tuned' to enable encouraged local GAAP result to fit the benchmarking study
- Manage SAO reporting for UK sites due annually
- Coordinate the tax clearance process for UK withholding taxes relating to Emerson's UK based finance companies
- Manage and support tax residency and other WHT requests and requirements for Europe
- Coordination and preparation of the UK equity reporting
- Provide ad hoc advice to UK payroll, finance directors, etc. in Europe regarding tax queries.
- Assist with reporting of tax audits throughout Europe

For this Role, You Will Need:
- University or equivalent degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration and/or Professional Accountancy Qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA etc.).
- Proficient English - language skills: verbal, reading, and writing. Other European languages are an advantage.
- Minimum 4-5 years finance experience in a global environment & in management positions
- Knowledge of Oracle, SAP or Syteline together with HFM preferred Microsoft Excel, POWER BI and PowerPoint skills.
