About the Rainforest Alliance
Rainforest Alliance, a New York-based 501(c)3, and UTZ, an Amsterdam-based foundation, merged in 2018. Together, the new Rainforest Alliance is now a $70 million per year organisation with offices in 17 countries (and growing) and over 5000 staff. The merged organisation has two main offices-one in Amsterdam and one in New York City.
The Rainforest Alliance is creating a more sustainable world by using social and market forces to protect nature and improve the lives of farmers and forest communities.
We work towards making responsible business the new normal through our certification program, tailored supply chain services, landscape and community work and advocacy.
Main Objectives and scope of the training
The overall objective of this training is to enhance partner organisation’s capacity for financial management. An estimated 10 to 16 participants from partner organisations will attend this training. The specific objectives of the consultancy are as follows:
The training should be delivered in Andhra Pradesh/ Karnataka, India province for partner NGOs of the Rainforest Alliance
Propose Methodology
The consultant will develop a detail training content in consultation with Rainforest Alliance and its partners considering the needs of partner organisations. A standard training content for non-government and non-profit organisations is expected from the consultant. The content should also include an internal control system, procurement management, tax and other applicable compliances and HR management and payroll among others. The training delivery method should be participatory, reflective, and empowering and based on actual case scenario and question-answers. Rainforest Alliance expects a team of two trainers for effective and efficient training delivery.

Selection Criteria
Profile of firm/consultant
The trainers to be involved in this assignment should have at least a CA degree in finance and/or accounting experience in NGO and donor reporting and ten years of experience in delivering financial management training to NGOs. The individual/firm should have the ability to provide competent human resources for this task.

- To deliver one financial management training to the partner organisation
- To design a capacity development plan for financial management for partners
The training should be delivered in Andhra Pradesh/ Karnataka, India province for partner NGOs of the Rainforest Alliance

Deliverables
- Development of training content in consultation with Rainforest Alliance and partners (training preparation)
- Partner capacity assessment will be undertaken. Online or offline
- Detailed inception report including training content and follow-up plans
- Delivery of the training in Andhra Pradesh (participants: 10 to 16)
- Development of capacity development plan for partner staff on financial management
- Finalization of the report and Oral presentation/meeting
- The consultant is expected to produce and share the training manual with the participants.
- Feedback process will be done after the training.

Confidentiality/ Non-Disclosure
- All material issued in connection with this ToR shall remain the property of Rainforest Alliance and shall be used only for the purpose of this procurement exercise. All information provided shall be either returned to Rainforest Alliance or securely destroyed by unsuccessful applicants at the conclusion of the procurement exercise.
- During the performance of the assignment or at any time after the expiry or termination of the Agreement, the Consultant shall not disclose to any person or otherwise make use of any confidential information which s/he has obtained or may in the course of this agreement relating to partner organisation/ Rainforest Alliance, the respondents or otherwise.
- The consultant will be required to sign a non-disclosure/confidentiality agreement as part of their undertaking of this work.
