Job Details

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Contract Controller to join our dynamic team in the Scientific industry. As a Contract Controller, you will be responsible for managing financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations, and providing strategic financial guidance to the organization. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive business objectives and support growth initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations, including GAAP and SOX
• Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures to support business objectives
• Provide strategic financial guidance to cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and operations
• Collaborate with external auditors to ensure timely and accurate completion of audits
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes to drive business growth and profitability
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial reporting and analysis
• Manage and mentor junior accounting staff as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA or equivalent certification preferred
• 2+ years of experience in general ledger accounting, month-end close, and financial statement preparation
• Experience with SaaS or other subscription-based business models preferred
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and SOX compliance
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software
