About The Role
We are looking for a dynamic, results driven individual to join as our Staff Accountant to oversee accounting activities for Rippling. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, this role will be instrumental in improving the speed and accuracy of the company's accounting, support our India accounting team, documentation of core functions and most importantly quality and timeliness of corporate accounting deliverables.
About The Team
The Accounting team supports the company by accurate financial reporting and correct adoption of financial policies and laws. Our team is spread across the USA and India. Our Accounting team is a team with functions of Corporate Accounting, Revenue, Product Leads, Platform Accounting, Procurement, Finance System and Platform Operations & Analytics verticals, growing at lightning speed . We often collaborate closely with other functions (like Engineering, Finance, Legal, Marketing, Operations and other business teams).

What You Will Do
- Work in a global accounting team to execute all accounting processes and activities across the organization to ensure compliance with the U.S. GAAP, domestic and international statutory guidelines, internal policies and external audits
- Handle day-to-day accounting and month-end close activities
- Ensure compliance for annual GAAP and statutory audits, and required compliance related filings for all domestic and international subsidiaries, including US parent company
- Monthly review of financials, including period over period variance analysis
- Establish documented controls to maintain the integrity of financial reporting and maintain a strong internal control environment
- Coordinate with external auditors to support audit procedures
- Work with the other accounting teams cross-functionally to develop, support, and improve the systems, policies, and procedures necessary to drive efficiency and provide meaningful financial data.
- Identify, design and implement improvements with respect to business processes and financial reporting
- Educational qualifications: MBA Finance, M. com, CA inter, CA qualified
- A minimum of 6 years (3 years for qualified CA) progressive accounting and finance experience with a minimum of 2 years of work experience with a SaaS company
- Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Solid technical knowledge of US GAAP and Indian GAAP
- Experience with scaling and automating processes
- Ability to work in a dynamic accounting department, successfully juggling multiple entities, projects and deliverables
- Possess an understanding of Netsuite ERP and other specialized accounting systems related to procure-to-pay, travel/expense, payroll, commissions, etc.
