The Financial Analyst will be responsible for providing business and finance partnering for the IT function. This position will report to the FP&A Finance Sr Manager and will carry primary responsibility towards Forecasting, Planning, Month & Quarter end Book Close, Vendor & Expense Management and SOX Control. The Financial Analyst will be responsible for providing business and finance partnering for the IT function. This position will report to the FP&A Finance Sr Manager and will carry primary responsibility towards Forecasting, Planning, Month & Quarter end Book Close, Vendor & Expense Management and SOX Control. Specific responsibilities include the following:
- Business Partnering: Collaboration with business leaders to develop and implement financial strategies aligned with business objectives. Provide financial insights and analysis to support business cases and investment decisions. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
- Forecasting and Budgeting: Building (a): quarterly forecasts and (b): annual budgets in close collaboration with the finance leaders/business partners / leaders - in-depth analysis of Opex drivers (Personnel Cost, Outside Services, Depreciation, Travel, Repairs, Maintenance, IT PC Chargeback, Telecom Exp. etc.) and driving the forecast / budget review calls to finalize the numbers - preparation of forecast / budget packs - submission to WW / Corporate Finance leaders.
- Month Close: Supporting MEC process - Ensuring in-depth understanding and analysis of actuals, inter department cross charges, passing of Journal Entries and preparation of MEC reporting packs including variance explanations on a high ownership level.
- Reporting: Preparation of the reporting packages for various parameters such as Headcount, Opex trends etc.
- BI Tools: Knowledge and hand-on experience on business intelligence applications.
- Adhocs: Handling all adhoc queries/deliverables from the finance and business.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of business unit financial support / FP&A experience. Prior experience with Information Technology industry and G&A-IT Finance preferred.
- Experience with IT Service management framework and knowledge of latest IT Hardware and Software products, applications, etc. preferred.
- Education: Finance, accounting, economics, or related degree, Qualified CA/CWA/CS/MBA preferred.
- Strong computer skills, particularly ERP systems, tools and applications e.g. SAP, Oracle, Tangoe, SAC (SAP Analytics Cloud), Oracle My HR System, SAP BI/BW, SFDC, Excel and PowerPoint
- Highly competent in manipulating and analyzing large amounts of data and drawing key insights.
- An ability to excel with limited direction/supervision and under ambiguous circumstances.
- Highly motivated self-starter who can work independently or collaborate as part of team.
- Superior quantitative and analytical skills.
- Flexible and adaptable with strong business acumen.
- Detail oriented, accurate and thorough. Deadline and results driven.
- Comfortable handling multiple and sometimes competing priorities.
- Highly competent in manipulating and analyzing large amounts of data and drawing key insights.
