Job Description:
• Conduct credit assessments and underwriting for new and existing customers.
• Analyse financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant financial
information to assess the creditworthiness of customers.
• Evaluate customer credit history, payment patterns, bank statements and
financial ratios to determine the level of risk involved.
• Conduct thorough due diligence, including background checks, legal
documentation review, and verification of customer information.
• Prepare comprehensive credit reports and draft credit recommendations based
on such analysis and risk assessment.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including technical team and senior
management, to discuss suitable Credit decision
• Monitor customer credit accounts, review financial performance, and identify
early warning signs of potential credit issues.
• Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and market conditions
impacting the creditworthiness of Customers.
• Ensure compliance with credit policies, sanction covenants, procedures, and regulatory
requirements.
• Proactively manage the risk of the designated portfolio by periodic review,
monitoring trends in key credit aspects.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement and maintain an effective working
relationship with stakeholders across functions and locations.
Qualifications:
• CA mandatory - (pursuing or graduation) Bachelors degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
• Proven experience in credit analysis, underwriting, or risk assessment.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret financial statements, credit
reports, and other financial data.
. Knowledge of credit risk management principles, credit scoring models, and financial analysis techniques.
• Familiarity with legal and regulatory requirements related to credit underwriting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to prepare comprehensive
credit reports and effectively communicate credit decisions.
• Detail-oriented with strong organisational and time management skills to handle
multiple credit assessments and meet deadlines.
• Proficient in using financial analysis tools and software applications.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and engage with internal
stakeholders effectively.
