Are you a seasoned finance professional with a passion for the fast-growing cannabis industry? We are looking for a Permanent Chief Financial Officer to join our dynamic team in the Cannabis Sector. This is a unique opportunity to apply your expertise in a rapidly expanding industry and make a significant impact on our company's growth. As the CFO, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the business, including investment planning, financial strategy planning, and multi-state financial management. You will also play a key role in M&A activities, FP&A, forecasting, cash flow, investment and funding.
Responsibilities:
1. Developing and implementing a strategic financial plan to support the company's growth.
2. Overseeing all financial operations, including budgeting, financial forecasting, and negotiations.
3. Leading the planning, execution, and integration of mergers and acquisitions.
4. Developing relationships with investors, banks, and financial institutions to secure funding and investment opportunities.
5. Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards across multiple states.
6. Providing strategic recommendations to the CEO and members of the executive management team.
7. Managing the processes for financial forecasting and budgets, and overseeing the preparation of all financial reporting.
8. Advising on long-term business and financial planning.
9. Reviewing all formal finance, HR, and IT related procedures.
Qualifications:
1. MBA or equivalent qualification.
2. CPA certification preferred.
3. A minimum of 12 years of finance experience, preferably in the cannabis sector.
4. Proven experience in corporate finance and a fast-paced startup environment.
5. Extensive experience in financial strategy planning, investment planning, and multi-state financial management.
6. Proven experience in M&A, FP&A, forecasting, cash flow, and investment and funding.
7. Exceptional communication skills, with a proven ability to develop relationships with investors, banks, and financial institutions.
8. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to make critical decisions under pressure.
9. In-depth knowledge of financial law and risk management practices.
10. Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods.
