Job Title - Senior Financial Analyst
About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Month-End Close & Reporting. This role will be responsible in ensuring our month-end close process is accurate, timely, and efficient.
What You'll Do
The incumbent is required to work with various of finance stakeholders to achieve the completion of the month end activities and group reporting as per the global timeline and standard. The role is not limited to the below activities and subject to be extended.
Month-End Close & Reporting:
- Coordinate and review month-end activities, data mapping, sweeps and allocations.
- Coordinate with various departments/local finance to ensure a smooth and timely close process.
- Ensure timely, accurate, and complete monthly reporting and performance commentaries are uploaded into the Corporate Consolidation System (OneStream).
- Prepare variable compensation report and bonus accrual validation.
- Prepare monthly/quarterly reports to senior stakeholder.
- Providing guidance and support on accounting policies and procedures.
- Conduct monthly and quarterly balance sheet account flux analysis to identify and understand significant variances.
- Maintain a strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and relevant accounting standards.
ICO (Intercompany) Activities and Reporting:
- Maintenance of ICO Contract matrix and ensuring it is update and distribute on the monthly basis.
- Preparation of the ICO schedule and confirmation which includes BMG (Interco Bank), IC loans & interest, OOB (out of balance) reporting and funding schedule.
- Prepare and submit ICO journals for BSO recharge and P/L true up (GWS EMEA) and any other ICO topside adjustments.
- Analysis of OOB and communicate with respective country controllers for the corrective adjustment and ensuring all the breaks are closed before the journal cut off.
- ICO flux commentary for group reporting and attend ICO queries from US central team.
OneStream (OS) Activities (Group Reporting)
- Check daily OS load report ensuring load errors are attend and resolve on timely basis.
- Daily monitor the progress of the OS rollforward and follow up with controllership on this task.
- Perform flux analysis at country and regional level.
- Prepare and process topside OS journals.
- Regular review the OS mapping and BU hierarchy.
What You'll Need
- Degree in Accounting / professional qualifications will be an added advantage (CA, CPA, ACCA)
- At least 5 years' experience in the relevant field preferably from shared service environment
- Experience in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong knowledge of SOX compliance requirements and internal control best practices
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Peoplesoft, OneStream and etc).
